Fender Blues Junior

 This is a top of the Line modified class "Fender" Blues Junior to which we call a Blues Junior Deluxe. This is a special offering, saving you 100.00 USD over the price on our website.

The
Fender Blues Junior is a perfect sized grab and go amplifier, they just
don't preform well out of the box. Many people have offered up
solutions to the dull and lifeless sounding amp, and even offer tips and
tricks on how to improve them at home for the remotely inclined. We set
out to create an awesome amp using the blues Junior platform, an amp
that rivals any other B. Jr. And the results are extreme!

Our upgraded Blues Junior "Deluxe" is an awesome blues and rock amp that will get the job done on stage and in the studio.

It is a 20+ watt, 6V6GT based monster, and the results are so good that it's kind of silly.

To
start with, we upgrade the output transformer. Beef up the power
supply. Replace all plate load, cathode and grid resistors with good
quality carbon composition parts. We change bypass caps, coupling caps,
tone stack parameters and the phase inverter.

Stock
Jr's are notorious for oscillation problems in the long tailed pair
phase inverter. We reconfigure the circuit to utilize a cathodyne
inverter like you would see in vintage Fender amps from the 50's. This
offers an entirely different feel to the amplifier. Because of the
difference in PI's, our Deluxe rendition uses 4 voltage amplification
stages (Gain stages) properly set up to yield extreme versatility in the
amp, from shimmering clean tones, to warm jazz tones and of course,
great bluesy rock drive and grind.

The
amp still uses 3 12AX7 preamp tubes, but like mentioned before, the amp
is converted to 8 pin octal, chassis mounted tube sockets so you can
use a larger plate, 14 watt tube, the venerable 6V6GT(A) or, in modern
day lingo, the JJ 6V6.

We
use the same output transformer in our upgrade process as we use in our
20 watt Tone Philosopher amplifier. We also use the same 12 inch 16 ohm
WGS veteran 30 speaker. We use 16 ohm loads whenever possible because
the damping factor is higher, which simply means that the amplifier has
more control over the speakers moving parts which translates into better
low end performance, with a tight controlled low end.

The
power tubes, new phase inverter circuit and supplementary gain stage
are all hand wired into the amplifier. This combined with general part
upgrades on the board result in a serviceable (Meaning usable) , highly
reliable, functional and outstanding amplifier.

After 7 days this sale is final and the amplifier is covered under our OEM warranty of 3 years. (1 year speaker)

We offer this modification, which includes all circuitry and associated components, WGS Veteran 30 speaker, new output transformer, grill cloth choice and tubes for $499.00 to existing Blues Jr's.  We also take trade ins on good condition Blues Juniors.

If you buy one of our Blues Junior Deluxe's and ship us your good condition amplifier, we will refund or "buy" your Blues Junior for 350.00. That's a fair price!

Professionally packed and insured shipping is 40.00 for all Blues Jr. Deluxe's. 

Silver, Oxblood, Black, Wheat grill cloth is an option.

*** We have been asked if it is possible to add foot switching for the reverb circuit. It is, and it works great. It does add an additional cost of 40.00USD to the amplifier***
